Psychedelic: Ayahuasca, a psychedelic tea made from a vine (caapi) and leaves (chacruna). The leaves contain DMT, while the vine contains compounds that act as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), which block the body from breaking down DMT. When brewed together, the vine allows the DMT to reach the central nervous system, creating the profound psychedelic experience. The term “Ayahuasca,” literally means "vine of the soul" in its original Quechua language. Traditionally, the tea was used in South American healing and spiritual ceremonies as far back as 1,000 years ago.

I stumbled upon this report in the most unlikely of places. It felt like another odd synchronicity of me “coincidentally” finding more and more of these accounts, until the puzzle pieces finally came together. I found this one literally while I was reading a book about how to create a digital marketing agency. I was flipping through the chapters, and next thing I know, I stumble upon a section titled, “the first mystical experience,” where the dude literally starts talking about taking Ayahuasca in 2021 with a Shaman in the Amazon, and becoming one with everything.
