NDE Cause: She would sporadically pass out. After some tests, doctors found that her heart was skipping three beats, but they still didn’t know the cause. During an overnight stay at a hospital, she flatlined (heart’s electrical activity stopped) and had an NDE. Doctors later discovered she was missing a sympathetic nerve connection between her upper and lower parts of heart that connected her pulse—this was the cause of her passing out, heart skipping beats, and later flatlining.
